BROWN SUGAR (FAVORITE MOVIE)

In the movie Brown Sugar, love was "Hip-Hop" and Dre and Sydney had fallen for the music. The finding of my first "Hip-Hop" was in 7th grade. I'll never forget how "Hip-Hop" had drove me so crazy that I wrote my first poem about her called my  My Abortion to Love. But I couldn't resist. She sparked my creative edge cause I saw her as the impossible. She was my untouchable. So like smart guys do, I let things grow and played the friend role. But who wants to friend their first "Hip-Hop". While Hip-Hop did her and I did me, we forever stayed in each others life in some awkward way. Luckily we're all grown up and can see eye to eye on this whole '"Hip-Hop" situation. We haven't let the fact that we go to colleges in  different states keep us apart. While now she might be in a different subgenre, our origin and future will stay strong and genuine to our genre. At the end of the day I love Hip-Hop....and Hip Hop loves me.............

Atlanta's not quite ready yet for the movement that it's about to incur. Its a new generation, a new lifestyle, a new thought process and a new chill flow. Through being a successful party promoter, I've had the luxury of working with Curtis SBI (signed with Don Cannon), Suni M F Solomon, Desean (DJ), Keys and the SBI family. From interacting with these great artist, I eventually ran into the camera man extraordinaire BHarv (Broderick Harvey). In this circle the facets of success in film and music are present.

From the music they release to the videos and photo's taken, artistic perfection is visible. I see all of them going places. So check the video out below and look out for Pilot Music, BHarv Photography and High Def  Films! They are most def. the future.

QUESTION: What made you fall in love with Hip-Hop?

      My first love Hip-Hop came along in 1994 with the release of I Used To Love Her by Common. In this song he expressed the adolescent and young adult identities that Hip-Hop experienced. From It Was A Good Day by Ice Cube to Me and My Bitch by Notorious B.I.G, I've been a fanatic. While the content did go against many of my morals, I still found myself in my idle time repeating those lyrics that painted questionable pictures. I thought I was alone with that thought until Lupe Fiasco came out with "Hurt Me Soul". Lupe Fiasco rapped in his song:

"Now I ain't tryna be the greatest
I used to hate hip-hop... yup, because the women degraded
But Too $hort made me laugh, like a hypocrite I played it
A hypocrite I stated, though I only recited half
Omittin the word "bitch," cursin I wouldn't say it
Me and dog couldn't relate, til a bitch I dated
Forgive my favorite word for hers and hers alike
But I learnt it from a song I heard and sorta liked
Yeah, for the icin, glamorized drug dealin was appealin
But the block club kept it from in front of our buildin

      The dilemma and the reason I fell in love with Hip-Hop was the stories touched home. I couldn't help the fact when I listen to Me and My Bitch by Biggie I felt like I jumped into another life where I was moving drugs across the states with my ride or die chick. From drugs to gang to parties to politics, Hip-Hop has always been life and great storytelling of it. 

      To sum it up, the reason that I fell in love with Hip-Hop was because it wasn't rap... It wasn't a description of the painting....Hip-Hop was the paint...the canvass...the artist

Deaths and rebirths are all im feeling,
in this club folks dancing and alcohol they be sipping, 
dancing foolish shawty eyes low, looney tune swagg I wish that it would die though, 
Because miscato couldn't change enough, lets be true to our religion and admit its hard enough.....
to just live chasing them dead prez on the paper green, 
rather spend our last penny on materialistic things....
But it seems, It's better to just move with the crowd, 
And there's one thing, Hip Hop I couldn't die without... 
So i grabbed a bird for you that brainwashing bulls$%$#, 
ANd for that rap sh#$ called "music" i have an extended clip...
For that swagg goofiness your just a fad a fad i wont miss.....
But currently coexist with the commons just leaves me pissed..........

VIVA LA HIP-HOP

Hip Hop and Rap are totally different!!!!
It kills me how Rap has been that bad cousin that tarnished the family name leaving Hip Hop as the one with a tarnished name. Luckily we have new artists like Drake, J. Cole,Wale, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y and BIG K.R.I.T who face the adversities of mainstream rap.

I E Music Groups goal is to fill in this gap and make a clear distinction between Hip-Hop and Rap by making REAL music....No more fruity loop beats and repetitive rhymes that can only conquer a surface of a topic with materialistic items.....Like from the movie Brown Sugar....im tired of the Hip Hop Dalmations with misogny....false stories...and brainwashing....It is time for REVOLUTION BY HIP-HOP!

With Chris Legit (Christian Williams), Rico (Desmond Morris) and myself K. Austin (Kamau Austin), we will spark the REVOLUTION that has been needed for the past couple of years in the music industry!!!
